It´s definitely a milestone reaching the mark of 100 episodes. At the beginning it wasn´t even clear if it would last that long and now cannot even tell when it ends...
After two movie retellings, the Universe 6 arc, the Copy Vegeta filler, the Future Trunks arc and some interesting filler episodes we are currently in the Universe Survival arc and the tournament just started with episode 97. It´s completely unknown in which direction this arc is going since the fate of all the universes is at stake. One of them had already been erased.
But this arc has something for everyone: It gives Tien, Roshi and Kuririn some time to shine, the android #17 and #18 participate, we got more Saiyans from Universe 6 (even Super Saiyans), all the angels, Gods of Destruction and Supreme Kai from the other universes, many new characters and... not to forget: Frieza.
He could also be an interesting factor about the time past the arc: Will he eventually win or getting revived? Having some collaboration with Frost in Universe 6 to create a new empire? Or go even further? Becoming a God of Destruction?
The other universes are quite interesting on its own for several further subplots, just looking at the 6th and 11th universe. Could the next story finally send the Z fighters to other universes? Vegeta visiting Planet Sadal? And what about the Universe 6 Namekians?
So many open things which makes me believe that the story could easily go much further - even with staying in the current time-slot of Dragon Ball age.
The ending of the Future Trunks arc in both anime and manga doesn´t seem that this was the last we saw Vegetas son from another timeline. The fact that both him and Mai exist twice in there new-created timeline can lead to something in the future. Toriyama did not do that without having an idea behind... Although it´s Toriyama.. Quite likely he has no plan yet.
Anyway the return of Future Trunks with the enemy Goku Black brought many fans back and it truly helped the reputation of the new Dragon Ball anime TV series.
Nozawa even wants to reach 700 episodes... sounds quite crazy looking at her age. But Dragon Ball Super is running well right now, was once even better than One Piece in terms of viewers, so let´s see what the future brings.
We are already way past GT with 64 episodes, the next benchmark would be going past the 153 episodes of the first original DB series which I see quite likely to happen...

Dragon Ball GT: Super Saiyan 4 Broly - 1: The Arrival
Around 10 years ago I wrote a fanfiction story which takes place after the martial arts tournament which followed by the defeat of Baby. It can be seen as an alternate story for the Super 17 saga or as something which could have been a movie during this point in time...
After a long unforgiving fight Goku managed it to finally defeat Baby, the last surviving Tuffle by pushing him with a 10-times Kamehameha into the sun which killed him. Shortly after that the population of the Earth were evacuated since the explosion of the planet could not be prevented as a side effect of the Black Star Dragon Balls. Thanks to Porunga the Earth could be recreated again and a new martial arts tournament was held shortly after that which was won by Mr. Satan
A few weeks has passed since the tournament and our friends got used to the well-earned time of peace again. Meanwhile Pan is having a sparring match with her grandfather Goku. 'You have really improved, Pan! But there is still a huge gap between us!' 'I know', replied Pan, 'you have way more experience than me, so that is no problem!" Gohan is getting out of the house saying to Pan and Goku: 'Enough for now, the food is ready!" Goku and Pan are joining the meal.
Meanwhile Vegeta left Capsule Corp. in West City to go to Goku in order to ask him for a fight, since they could not fight at the last tournament. While being on the way Vegeta is sensing three energies. 'This ki... Is that really...?'
'That is a really high powerlevel... and there´s one a bit weaker and one really weak. But they are somehow quite familiar, that´s not good...', said Goku after standing up while he was eating. 'Who is that?' The others are shocked trying to sense what Goku means. 'And? Can you feel it now? I know these energies, but that´s actually impossible!'
Gohan: 'And what are you going to do now?' Goku: 'These energies are about to land near Karins tower. I need to look that nothing happens to Karin and Yajirobe. And also Upa and Bora in the forest down there. So I need to go!' Gohan follows Goku. 'Father, I help you!' 'Ok, but I think if I turn into a Super Saiyan 4 straightaway this opponent won´t be an issue!' Gohan agrees: 'Right, father. They will be quite surprised!' Goku: 'I can sense that Vegeta is going to arrive before us!'
The two space pods are landing, one of them hits Karins tower which fells to the ground. Upa and Bora can avoid the falling top of the tower. Upa: 'What was that?' Bora: 'Aliens?' Meanwhile Yajirobe and Karin are falling towards to ground. Yajirobe gets an idea: 'Ah, I know, this can save us!' He uses his capsule with a skycar, where both he and Karin jump in. They wonder what happened.
Behind a lot of smoke two big craters are getting more and more visible. In each crater is one space pod which open simultaneously. Bora and Upa are quite surprised seeing two persons climbing out of the pods. Vegeta arrives as first: 'I wasn´t wrong! Paragus and Broly! Impossible!' The two Saiyans notice Vegeta and fly up to him. Paragus greets the Saiyan prince: 'Hi Vegeta, and how is the life on Earth going?' 'Funny, shut up, better tell me how you both could make it getting here. I thought you both died a long time ago!'
Paragus confirms: 'Yes we did, but let´s get to the details later..' Vegeta: 'Ok, I understand. After a few punches you will tell me!' Paragus expains: 'We have a clear target for our visit here. We want to make Earth the new planet Vegeta, with me as a king!' Vegeta laughs: 'Keep dreaming, I´m way stronger than last time, you won´t have any chance against me.' Paragus: 'Vegeta, trust me, in a few hours nothing will be as it was before.' Broly screams: 'KAKAROTT!' and flies in Gokus direction. Vegeta´s getting livid: 'Damn, always Kakarott. This time I will be the one who defeats Broly!'
How will the clash of Vegeta, Broly, Gohan and Goku end? Why are Broly and Paragus alive? Can Paragus realise his plans? And how is the third yet unknown energy?

Frieza coming back? Sure, why not!
At the time the 10 members for the Universe Survival Arc were revealed it got me thinking: There could be a stronger line-up!
And looking on how strong the former ruler of Universe 7 got after his revival with just a bit of training for 4 months? With reaching a new form? What if he could have mastered the Golden Frieza form? He was already a real threat for Super Saiyan Blue Goku back then.
And now the destiny of Universe including heaven and hell is at stake, so why only looking on Earth? There are surely stronger fighters than Muten Roshi, Kuririn or Tenshinhan out there. Especially in the afterlife, just look at Pikkon or other previous enemies in hell like Cell.
But surely, Frieza would be a great choice in terms of power. But interestingly the idea only came up after Buu fell asleep. But it's still hard to imagine that Frieza would fight along with the Z warriors. Frieza tried killing all of them and Kuririn and Piccolo won't forget that he actually did it.
In the preview for Episode 93 you could see Frieza that would accept Gokus offer, but he has conditions. What could that be?
Getting back to live and not just for 24 hours? The wish for immortality which he failed with back on Namek? Another revenge match against Goku? He surely will take an advantage out of that situation.
Anyway, I am very curious about what is going to happen in Episode 93. Goku will meet his nemesis again. The idea seems crazy but it adds more exciting for the upcoming tournament!

Why the the build-up to the Universe Survival arc is just great
Warm-up matches against Universe 9, the birth of Bulla and recruiting other members for the teams of the Universe Survival Tournament. 12 great episodes already and the tournament hasn't even started!
Personally, I love these episodes. First, Goku initiated the whole thing by going to Zeno requesting about the tournament. Bringing Buu and Gohan back for fighting in testing matches against Universe 9 was really great to see again, since both did not participate in the Universe 6 tournament.
Vegeta staying out of these matches for the birth of his daughter was just another great plot of character development. Vegeta is surely a character who changed since his sacrifice against Buu which he now especially see in Super.
The introduction of the other Gods of Destructions, their angels and the Kaioshins was also quite interesting. Let's see what their role in this arc is going to be. They seems to build an opposition against Universe 7 since it's Goku's fault we get this tournament.
But especially the recruiting of the other members of the Universe 7 team is great stuff: Piccolo and Gohan training together unleashing Ultimate Gohan again, Fat Buu trains to be slim, Goku against Kuririn and Android 18, the return of Android 17. So many interesting plot points and throwbacks.
And it's not just about the teams of Universe 7. Universe 11 has the Pride Troopers, which one of them looks like Beerus and they all seem really strong. And also: The "Female Broly" finally appeared! Cauliflowa is her name. And we saw Cabba trying to recruite her brother for the tournament, but he suggested to take his sister instead.
You see, there are a lot of things going on and looking at the next weeks preview we see Tenshinhan and Muten Roshi back in action! Already hyped to see that!

The future of Dragon Ball
During the last decade Dragon Ball Z has received some extra animated material and the start of the new movie 'Fukkatsu no F' got me thinking: How will the future of Dragon Ball be like?
Dragon Ball Z was a huge success, but Toriyama wanted to stop, needed a break. But it had to continue: Dragon Ball GT came, 64 more episodes were aired and it ended in 1997. So far, so good.
In the early 2000s the anime was broadcasted overseas and the videogames, especially on the PlayStation 2 became very popular and successful. Also, Toriyama made a Dragon Ball parody called 'Neko Majin' by that time.
But then came further animation. The first one set place two years after the defeat of Buu called Yo! The Return of Son-Goku and Friends!! In terms of the story actually quite interesting. Vegetas brother Tarble appeared, two new villians who worked for Freeza appeared on Earth - only to be defeated easily.
From 2009 to 2011 came Dragon Ball Kai, a digitally remastered version of DBZ - but only until the Cell arc.
In 2010 came Dragon Ball Heroes, an arcade game, but only in Japan. Over the years came several new missions - including animated trailers. Later were mangas about these missions published - by someone named Toyotaro.
In 2011 two further specials were released: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans (a remake of an old movie) and Episode of Bardock, based on a manga from Naho Oishi.
And then came 2013 and the Battle of Gods movie and it was a huge success. One year later they continued Dragon Ball Kai with the Buu Arc and already announced another movie for the Golden Week in 2015. Both movies happened during the 10 year gap by the end of Z. The current one is about Friezas revival and seems to be very successful.
As a fan you're now thinking: What will come next? Another movie? It seems interesting that this Toyotaro guy, who drew a preview manga about Fukkatsu no F, is obviously also known under the name Toyble, who published a Dragon Ball AF manga years ago.
He was also involved in the Dragon Ball Heroes mangas. But, here's a thought: In my view his AF story is really interesting and has a potential to be a future TV series. The only weak point is that there are also characters from the DBZ movies (like Broly, Tapion) involved. Its story is also AFTER Dragon Ball GT and tells also where Goku went with Shenron.
Either that, or will they go extent the 10 year gap any further? I'm not so sure, because there are only like four years left and a possible new story should fit with the end of Z.
Or what about an alternate GT story or simply a story which starts during or after Gokus training with Uub. There are a lot of options - let's say what's going to happen....

Toriyama revealed name of Gokus mother
It has been unexpected news being spread around the internet last week. But it's true that Akira Toriyama officially announced information about the mother of the Dragon Ball protagonist Goku.
Toriyamas current manga 'Jaco the Galactic Patrolman' which also acts in the world of Dragon Ball is about to end but it gets a bonus chapter including an appearance of Gokus mother. Her name: Gine.
In the Q&A Toriyama told that Gine had a gentle personality, but had still been a warrior. She was saved by Bardock a few times. Because of that a romance started and they got two children.
She later worked at the meat distribution center on Planet Vegeta. Currently it's unknown if she had survived the destruction of her home planet or not. We will know more after the release of the final chapter in April.

Dragon Ball GT Inconsistencies Part 2: Halos
After giving you some information about the forgotten gravity on planet Plant in Dragon Ball GT I will continue the series with another important mistake or change: The missing halos in hell!
The first time when we saw a character with a halo in Dragon Ball we have to look back to Gokus childhood where he met his dead Grandpa Gohan at Babas place. People who die in the universe of Dragon Ball are in special cases allowed to get a recreation of their bodies in the afterlife.
The only difference is that dead people with their real body have halos placed above their heads. A few years later Goku made the same experience after a sacrifice to beat his brother Raditz. In some anime fillers later we also see dead evil people like the Ginyu Force having halos.
But also Dragon Ball Z have inconsistencies concerning dead villains in Hell. People coming to hell aren't supposed to have a body. During the fight against Majin Buu Vegeta asked Piccolo what will happen to him when he would die in order to kill the demon. The Namekian replies that he will lost his body because he has killed too many innocent people lately. But why could Frieza or Cell keep their real body?
Let's get to that later. But despite we saw so many villains in hell got halos, why did they lost them in the Super 17 Saga in Dragon Ball GT? It's not to compare with the movie Fusion Reborn, in which the dead people become alive again. Why even people appeared which haven't died on Earth is still another question.
During Dragon Ball GT everyone from Hell could easily 'jump' to Earth through a hole made by two Android #17 and nobody of them had a halo before. Interestingly, after being killed again waiting in the queue at Enma-Daios place enemies like Puipui still have halos above theirs heads. They lost them probably again on their way to hell.
Piccolo was seen losing his halo after destroying parts of the paradise which means he was about to go to Hell - even if it looked similar with the situation where he was revived at North Kais planet in the Frieza Saga before getting transported to Namek.
But people in Hell still remain to be indestructible. Even cutting Frieza in half didn't help to defeat him, because his body reshaped - same as in Dragon Ball Z with characters having halos in similar situations.
To distinguish people in Hell without halos between dead or alive the body temperature makes the difference: The temperature of dead people is much colder than from alive ones. That's why the ice machine worked with Frieza and Cell, but not with Goku.
Anyway, we can say that the makers of Dragon Ball GT obviously intended the change to remove the halos from the people living in Hell. It's a shame it wasn't explained why.
Maybe they didn't want villains to have halos because of the Super 17 plot? A change made by Enma-Daio? Nothing makes really sense when such a big thing isn't explained at all. Dragon Ball GT has its own rules and this thing is absolutely a case in point.

Dragon Ball GT Inconsistencies Part 1: The Gravity at Plant
Dragon Ball Z wasn't enough and so it was decided to create the sequel 'Dragon Ball GT'. But they obviously haven't thought about every detail, because the series has many inconsistent things and errors. In the following I will summarize every important failures in Dragon Ball GT and share my opinion about it - starting with the 'Gravity at Plant'.
The planet Plant, more known as planet Vegeta, was once lived by the Plantians and later by the Tuffles and Saiyans. Even if the Plantians as seen in 'Episode of Bardock' looked pretty weak, they were able to live at a planet with a gravity ten times higher than on Earth. It is likely that these live forms had evolved on this planet which made it possible for them to adapt their bodies to this gravity.
It is unknown where the Tuffles came from, possibly from another planet with an equal gravitational force or their race had evolved on planet Plant later. I think we don't really need to talk about the Saiyans: Their naturally given power which have the origin on another (still unknown) planet doesn't bother this amount of gravity (probably their 'real' home planet was similar to Vegeta).
Usual people from Earth are definitely unable to live with such a gravity. Even Goku as a Saiyan used to live on Earth had to struggle when he first came to North Kais planet which has also 10 times Earth gravity. But as we can see in the Baby Saga it apparently doesn't seem to be a problem. After obtaining all seven Black Star Dragon Balls Shenron granted the Tuffle the wish to recreate planet Tuffle close to Earth.
The manipulated people were brought this new planet and didn't have any problems to run - even after Baby was defeated and their minds were cleared. But the gravitation wasn't even mentioned during the whole saga.
Finding an explanation is ridiculous: Could the proximity to Earth neutralize a 10 times higher gravitation? I guess every physicist will confirm that's impossible.
They simply forgot a basic information which was repeated during Dragon Ball Z many times.
